“ The Pitt” will be honored by Cedars-Sinai with the Hollywood Leadership Award at its upcoming Sunset Soirée gala.
The award recognizes the medical drama’s authentic portrayal of life in the emergency room and commitment to portraying the realities of emergency medicine with accuracy and heart.
Star and executive producer Noah Wyle, executive producer and director John Wells and creator and showrunner R. Scott Gemmill receive the honor at the Cedars-Sinai Board of Governors’ Sunset Soirée on Oct. 11 on the Warner Bros. Studio Lot in Burbank.

“We’re excited to honor the incredible team behind ‘The Pitt,’ celebrating the power of storytelling and philanthropy to inspire meaningful change,” said Peter L. Slavin, MD, president and CEO of Cedars-Sinai. “Through their commitment to raising awareness about healthcare and emergency medicine both on and off screen, the team behind ‘The Pitt’ is helping shine a light on the importance of lifesaving care and the breakthroughs that make it possible.”
Slavin continued, “We’re also deeply grateful to Jaime and Andrew Schwartzberg for their generosity and longstanding commitment to Cedars-Sinai, alongside their extraordinary leadership and wide-reaching impact across the Los Angeles community beyond our hospital walls. Their dedication to our mission helps advance groundbreaking research and brings new possibilities in healthcare within reach.”
More than 750 guests are expected to attend the gala, which is raising funds for Cedars-Sinai’s Innovation to Impact campaign. The campaign, a $60 million initiative launched by the Board of Governors, is focused on accelerating early-stage research across five critical areas: children’s health, cancer, neurosciences, autoimmune diseases, metabolic diseases and aging. Central to this effort is the advancement of single-cell technology, empowering investigators to study diseased cells at the individual level and uncover the root causes of complex human conditions.
Musician Andy Grammer is set to perform during the festivities. Event sponsor and acclaimed Beverly Hills steakhouse Steak 48 will host a signature pop-up experience.
